Last Resort: Apocalypse
LAUNCHED ON THE iOS APP STORE ON MARCH 30, 2016. Made in 3 weeks, "Last Resort: Apocalypse" is a 360-degree VR zombie shooter for iPhone 6. It was built in Unity 3D and uses Google Cardboard v2 for touch input and head tracking. The game supports both fullscreen and stereoscopic rendering, so a headset is not required. In order to expedite the process to completion, the v1.0 game only included one variety of zombie. Additional zombies were added in the 1.1 update. My duties on this project included:
• Prototyping and design of gameplay mechanics
• Designing a UI that accommodated the unique restrictions of mobile VR
• Designing, modeling, and texturing an interesting play space
• Designing, modeling, texturing, rigging, and animating an assortment of zombies
• Designing and implementing textures that support Physically-Based Shading
